In collaboration with the Taiwan Technical Mission, the MRV Hub has strengthened national climate reporting by developing standardized GHG estimation tools and improving primary data collection within crop production systems. By bridging the gap between field-level practices, such as solar irrigation and hoop greenhouses, and national reporting frameworks, this initiative built the technical capacity necessary for Saint Lucia to meet its international climate transparency and monitoring obligations.

Since 2025, the Caribbean Agriculture Work Crew has provided hands-on technical training to help regional specialists develop greenhouse gas inventories. This collaborative programme strengthens national reporting capacity and institutional systems across the Caribbean to enhance long-term climate transparency and Paris Agreement compliance.

In September 2023, the Caribbean Cooperative MRV Hub and the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute delivered a Greenhouse Gas Inventory training workshop in The Bahamas under the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT), strengthening national capacity in IPCC guidelines, data collection, and reporting under the Paris Agreement.

The Caribbean Cooperative MRV Hub joined the RCC Caribbean’s Workshop on Advancing NDCs 3.0 in St. George’s, Grenada (17–18 October 2024), where regional representatives and partners strengthened transparency reporting, explored financial mechanisms, and shared best practices for tracking and implementing Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Agreement.
